Partisan and miracles propaganda involved in the Brittany Succession War

Forms of war diverging from the standard military norm were not uncommon in the Middle Ages, and notably psychological warfare in which saints and miracles played a major role. This was particularly the case in Brittany, during the War of Succession, when psychological warfare was used to the sole profit of the de Blois-Penthièvre pro-French party. But as soon as hostilities had ended, miracles of the Virgin Mary happened, paving the way for a potencial reconciliation. The dukes of the House of Monfort cleverly used such events topacify their duchy.
