The part of telecommunications in the competition of the small and median enterprises in southern Rhine space. In the areas marked by the connections between industry and tertiary domains, the distribution and redistribution of the economical power is subtended by important telecommunicative structures that will play a growing international part. These structures are inducing numerous types of immaterial fluxes that are actively participating in the telematic spheres, in the evolution of local collectivities and of the social and cultural life. These changements are reflecting upon the political and administrative systems. They give true assets to the political regiona,national,european affirmation. The Rhine space, one of the most important axes of the Old continent, that is more and more relativized by the emergence of other axes appearing with the revival of Central Europ, reveals very expressively the part played by the telecommunications in the spatial mobility and its geopolitical consequences. The southern Rhine space that includes three nations, is benefitting by the internationalization of the affairs especially in Germany and swizzerland, along the border between the European community and the ancient EFTA, an area of active meeting inside and outside the European economical space is well situated to observe the part of telematic in the integration process of the firms in the international relations. It makes easier the study of the articulations between the big and middle business and the great firms so as the comparison between areas the frontiers of which are progressively disappearing and the other types of spaces. The approaches are however relatively long. The proximity markets are often good and our space is not all looking like a split space. The acceleration of the setting of logistic chains and axes is however contributing to the development of telematic that will modify the traditionnal structures, the firms profiles and the nature itself of the relations between the firms.
