Abstract
Marine and coastal ecosystems are among the most efficient environmental service providers on the scale of the globe, but these ecosystems also count among the most degraded and the most threatened by the human development. On islands as Guadeloupe, the coastal and maritime spaces constitute an important resource for the economic development. The value of these ecosystems and the progress of their degradation are approached within the framework of the evaluation of the services of indirect use.
