The Idene Nemmirovsky loneliness: Journal de genesis

The manuscripts of Irène Némirovsky’s “autobiographical novel” Vin de solitude reveal in particular the author’s intentions, and give us the opportunity to follow the processes that allow the writer to move from the referential to the fictional, through the task of recalling her childhood and girlhood memories when she was caught up in the upheaval of the Russian Revolution. Furthermore, beginnings and drafts are both a working text and an “avant-texte” of the final work, both types of speeches remaining closely associated.
