English abstract: Region characterized by varied municipal experiences, eastern Languedoc has retained statutes and customs also varied in form and in substance. Their study allows questioning their conditions of preparation. An exceptional case, that of Montpellier, allows to go a little further and to see the practical use which was made of copies of these normative documents.
