Abstract
The castle of Castelfranc (Montredon-Labessonnié), built in the beginning of the XVIIth century give evidence of the erudition and the surprising inventiveness of his owner, Guillaume Le Nautonier, Protestant lord. Guillaume made build close to his house an observatory for private use, building essential to a geographer passionate about astronomy, ordered in 1609 king’s ordinary geographer by Henri IV.
