In order to better understand the relationship between Jean-Pierre Vernant and the image, Perspective asked François Lissarrague, a traditional Greek iconography specialist, and Claude Frontisi, a historian of painting in the 20th century, to discuss with him his approach to image in the context of his work on ancient Greek society, and his visual relationship.
