Abstract
The guarantee of human rights in times of armed conflict is crucial for post-conflict development. The vulnerabilities related to gender issues are often overlooked in such situations. This article seeks to contribute to the debate on the issue of Internally Displaced Women, considered a highly vulnerable group in episodes of forced evictions. Thus seeks to provide a discussion of this gap in human rights. It discusses the recurring violence suffered by women during and after armed conflicts and argues the possibility of containing violence. The Angolan case illustrates the considerations by the peculiarity of its period of wars and recent cessation of conflict.
