Abstract
The author is studying the contribution of the French multilingual association of modern language teachers APLV to the spread of educational perspectives which subsequently served as a basis for the development of current ideas in the field of didactic plurilingualism. He also mentioned the changes that these views had seen since then. It deals with the views of the VLLP on the following aspects of language education and policy: language learning, integrated language teaching, diversification of school provision into languages, the aims of language teaching and conceptualisation, in the sense of language thinking. He concluded by showing how the limitations of the proposed study led to simplifications, leaving aside, on the one hand, the differences of view which coexisted within the association and, on the other, the individual routes of the main players.
