Abstract
Based on connections between the psychological and sociopolitical acceptations of the concept of gender, this paper offers a conceptualisation of the influence of this concept over our representations and behaviours involving both sexes in terms of Dependence-Independence towards Genre (DIG). This conceptualisation is associated to an evaluation tool consisting in 13 scenarii comparing the perspectives of male-female differences in various situations of daily or professional life. This tool is designed to understand our propensity to view a given situation as expressing THE difference in gender or gender inequalities; this perception can vary according to the person (inter individual variability) but also for the same person (intra individual variability) and according to situations (inter scenarii variability). The article presents some of the results of a first test version carried out with lower sixth male and female students. These results confirm our expectations in terms of DIG scores.
