Abstract

Issue 9 of the Regulatory Review provides an opportunity to further reflect on the changes in contemporary capitalism by questioning the concept of corporate social responsibility and its ability to play a role in shaping new compromises. The process of institutionalising CSR gives companies and their managers normative power, at the expense of, inter alia, labour representatives. This is therefore an important issue in terms of the ability of this dossier to explore corporate social responsibility, regulation and diversity of capitalism. On the other hand, the issues of regulations, norms and power which are addressed in the domain of CSR raising questions about the regulation of capitalism (see the introductory essay, in French). Following this special section, separate articles extend the analysis of various aspects of the crisis of capitalism, which is closely related to the crisis of the representations of the economy. Once again, the tensions proper to financialisation come to the fore. (...)
