Abstract
Mourning is the loss of a loved one and, by extension, is the loss of a close one that occupies an important place in the life of the bereaved. The purpose of mourning is to transform the relationship with the deceased. This psychic activity of the mourner is necessary. It is not linear since the deceased is both absent and incredibly present during the process. Based on the theme of the tree as a metaphor of the person, the device used allows to express depressive affects and faithfulness to the deceased. It also helps to maintain a relationship with the other and to build new projects.
