Abstract
This quantitative and non-experimental field research of employees working in the youth protection service of a social service centre is to verify the links between the various variables of sources of stress at work and outside work, personality and the consequences of stress. The results show that there is a link between a set of stressers and the personal and organisational consequences. The difficulty of reconciling work with personal and family obligations affects respondents’ health and organisation. Two distinct personality profiles, the confident internal and the altruistic weighted, perceive different stress consequences.
