On the translation in the Eastern Arab world and on the Latin version of the ‘ibEpistola de intellectu’/ib de al-Fārāb,

Abstract

'summing lang = ‘es’ b The translations that took place in the Arab and Islamic world during the viii to xi centuries resulted in a great deal of knowledge that Arabs lacked after predicting the Mu-ammad. Those translations gave rise to problems of a technical nature, the resolutions of which were raised by some authors. After pointing out some of these questions, it will be sought here to see whether the conditions indicated by the various Eastern interpreters were met by Latin medieval translators in relation to a text widely disseminated both in the Arab world and in Latin, the Epistola on the intellectual of the philosopher al-Fārāb.
