a multiple figure, a mythic figure, the street is at the foundation of the urban public space it crosses and is irrigated by the movement of people and goods. It is a place of open sociability that individuals and groups take different ways of using coexistence rules modulated by a game of distance and proximity. It is the place where we experience diversity. This book presents a plurality of views and themes on the street and, by extension, on the city: the public and private sector, violence, trade, movement, brewing, cohabitation, etc. Each of these focal points is one of the pieces of the urban puzzle. From the descriptive typology to which the diversity of land lends, we are moving to an interpretative topology with new perspectives.
