Abstract
National audience La science-fiction is said to be a great way to explore our world. The science-fiction cinema makes it possible to represent the visual and sound atmospheres of possible future environments and, in turn, to take a critical look at the present and its developments. We propose to present here the aesthetic exploration of the voice of the main character of the ROBOCOP film (Verhoeven, 1987), which is of particular interest to us: it is one of the first in the cyberpunk movement to show an increased man who oscillates between human and robot statuses. It is mainly the vocal persona that is taken into account in this study. Our analysis shows that, from semantic level to audio effects and prosodie, all available means are used to instilling the viewer’s share of humanity through voice.
