Abstract
The violent clashes between the various Iranian governments in the 20th century and the Kurdish minority, in favour of autonomy, show the emergence of ethnic awareness against the centralising policies in place. The dynamics of this identification, resulting from the interaction of the three levels: local (the Kurdish speaking regions of the country), national (entire Iran) and regional (Kurds outside the country) have evolved since the 1979 revolution. Taking into account young people in society, three possible orientations for this dynamic are identified here: adoption of national interests in the rejection of Kurdish, peaceful coexistence of elements of Kurdish and Iranian identity, and complete rejection of anything that is not Kurdish.
