Abstract
The self-teaching observed in the last century no longer exists. The proponents of this practice and the building of knowledge have been changed. Those who choose this form of learning in a heterdox way belong to all social classes regardless of their educational level. The methods of cognitive self-training and the strategies and motivations of the subjects of our study have been linked to the practices already observed in the neo-self-teaching. The results of this research show specific functions for each of the social categories observed. Mandatory self-teaching, trade unionists use the technique of problematic presentiality for resolute virtuality. Policies have no plans and, in the face of discouragement, they are reinvigorating values from their original environment. Entrepreneurs enrol in voluntary self-training and engage in clandestine learning
