Abstract

In this interview, Gauz returns on his latest novel, Camarade Papa, who received the Literary Grand Prix of Black Africa in 2018. He opens paths for us to read it better. This invites us to tell a story of History, at the level of men, adults or children, a story full of beauty, ideals and freedom. It also invites us to escape from color in order to to regain a capacity of rapture and to defend the various ways of speaking as cultures and political weapons. It invites us to name the beauty of hope of migrants, who are “super hopefuls”.
