Abstract
This article aims to understand the ways through which the juvenile court judges engage in the judicial field in Turkey. It reveals two categories of judges: Those making the “code” a priority, and those who privilege above all the “file”. The analysis also confirms that the judges’ practices who function as technicians of the legal rules lead to a rather repressive justice while those who seek to integrate a social dimension tend to approach a more protecting justice.
