Abstract
Based on a comprehensive programme of experimental research carried out in the IMT Department of Psychology, the relationship with some psychophysiological indicators such as TR and P300 and a purely psychological one that reflects the overall intellectual level is highlighted, as estimated by the so-called Intelligence Coefficient (C.I) and factor (G) assessed by the Raven Progressive Matrices test. 65 supposedly healthy subjects were subjected to the set of psychophysiological tests which included the simultaneous study of reaction time, cognitive potential evoked, in particular the so-called P300 test and the Raven test. The results showed an association between these orono-metrical indicators representing the assessment of cognitive activity, the relationship between it and G.’ s psychometric level. Some considerations are made on the possibility and importance of Raven to infer the functional status of a subject exposed to aggressive working conditions and to assess the negative effects in an early stage.
