Abstract
The spread of air transport from the 1990s, particularly through the advent of the low-cost airlines model, has led to an increase in acts of indiscipline. International and national legislators have addressed this issue late, which means that the coercive framework has so far been poorly developed and ineffective. Since the 2010s, projects have been launched to modernise this framework. Various approaches are being considered, all of which have in common to take account of the specific nature of the context in question. As a result of this inertia on the part of the legislators, the operators in the sector, especially airlines and airport managers, have been called upon to implement their own solutions in order to curb the phenomenon of indiscipline. Some of these measures need to be revised, others need to be taken over by the legislator in order to harmonise them to all operators in the sector.
