Abstract

The Intersectoral Project to Prevent Recidivism and Coping with Domestic and Family Violence in the City of Castro, State of Paraná, from the Perspective of the Professional The aim of this summary is to present Intersectoral Project on Preventing Reoffending and Addressing Domestic and Family Violence in the City of Castro, from the perspective of the advocacy profession, at the Centres of Specialised Reference for Social Assistance (CREAS), demonstrating the context in which it has been developed and is being implemented. In addition, the growing demand for women in violence in 2018, alongside the counsel registered in the first half of 2019 by the city’s two CREAS, has been demonstrated. The Intersectoral Project is a public policy and is part of the coordination: the Municipal Secretariat for Family and Social Development, the Judiciary and the State Public Prosecutor’s Office. The implementation is carried out by an interdisciplinary team of the CREAS (Lawyer, Social Assistant, Psychologist, Social Orientator and Coordination). It has partnerships with local authorities, such as: representatives of the municipal secretaries of public health and safety, the public prosecutor’s office, the judiciary, civil and military police, civil society and academia of the social service, pedagogy and psychology. Its purpose is to comply with Article 8 (VI) of Law No 11.340/2006 and to take account of the perpetrators of domestic or family violence. The discussions will be set out in this summary, using methodologies such as bibliographic literature, from authors such as Saffioti (2004), Teles and Melo (2002) and documentary, to present the results obtained.
