Abstract
Good officinal practices according to Qūhin al-` Aṭṭār (Cairo, 13th century) – The originality of this work which should be a simple aqrābāḏīn with an update of the formulas and a grouping of it according to their pharmaceutical forms, is at first that this author presents the pharmacy as a discipline independent from medicine and then, that he wants to train the future apothecary in best practices in his pharmacy and to teach him the ethical rules that the pharmacist has to respect to keep his reputation.
