Migration utilitarianism can be defined as this propensity of societies to settle the migration issue on the expected interest (or disadvantage) of foreigners they are making or letting to come, mainly in relation to the labour force provided. Once it has emerged in the public arena, this utilitarianism is a sum of expectations and conclusions that are alternately favourable and hostile to immigration, giving the impression of a pragmatic doctrine leading to ‘day-to-day’ and sometimes unfair management.
