Umberto Eco, Apostille, at the ‘Nom de la Rose’ ‘I love me like a little fu’, wrote on 1 June 1948 Thomas Mann, who was busy with a revival of Pope Gregoire’s famous legend, who, following extreme contrition, became one of the biggest saints in Rome, with his old friend and camarade Hermann Hesse.
