Abstract
`titrebSummary `/titreb Concerning the adolescent, it is always difficult to determine the proper time for consulting; difficult also to choose the time for starting psychotherapy. Facing a mental disorder that the adolescent cannot express, the analyst is bound to choose a neutral attitude the author refers to as “committed”. Based on a clinical experience, a reflection upon the specificity of the adolescent transfer and the role of the analyst should take place. “Neither too early, nor too late” is a difficult ideal that tries to answer to an uneasy question: “when is the right time to consult”?
