Abstract
`titrebBolivia during Evo Morales’s Presidency : continuance and breakdown`/titrebIn 2006, the new president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, presented himself as the incarnation of a radical novelty: the return of Indians in the public affairs after centuries of colonization. Six years later, as his popularity had decreased and his image had been stained, we might wonder what really changed under his term of office. Two factors, that we will study in this article, caused and made possible an authoritarian and clientelist policy. Now, despite strong social tensions, this policy allows the government to resist.
