Abstract
Since 2016, the IMEC (Institut Mémoires de l’édition contemporaine) has confided once a year a trusteeship role to writers charged of organizing an exhibition with the help of its own collections. This kind of programming is submitted to a tension specific to the places dedicated to the preservation of a memory : tension between the documentary imperative and the particular gaze of an invited trustee. To which must be added the articulation between two auctorialities : the trustee’s and that of the institution welcoming these initiatives which remodel its image into a place of living creation.
