Aliénor and Kaamelott at the cinema

Abstract

National audience Martin Aurell, Professor of medieval history at the University of Poitiers (CESCM, UMR 7302), tell us about Aliénor’s representation in the cinema, particularly in the film of Anthony Harece ‘One lion in winter’ (1968, 3 oscars). Specialist in Plantagenêt, L’Empire des Plantagenêt 1154-1224 (Perrin, 2002), and of King Arthur, La Légende du King Arthur (Perrin, 2007), he was also interested in the Kaamelott TV series. It was interviewed in the DVDs bonus series (Book II, Kaamelott sources, Act 1: Morals and women) and prefaced Eric Le Nabour’s general public book on the broadcast (2 tomes, Perrin, 2007) with a foreword by Alexander Astier.
