The Exchange Association has taken a position on the planned Thuringia Library Act http://www.boersenblatt.net/199039 The draft law contains in the second sentence of Section 2(2) the statement that the specific tasks of scientific libraries for research and teaching ‘also include the provision of appropriate infrastructure for electronic publicity and the development of digital libraries’.
