The psychoanalyst’s ethic is, first, everybody ethic. The peculiarities of the analytic cure and the conditions which do it possible are introducing a specific ethic dimension to the method itself. The author is arguing that there is an ethic of the method, inside his own limits and demands. « Ethics codes » published by each psychoanalytic society, more deontologics than ethics, poorly cover what is the basis of psychoanalytic ethic.
