Abstract
The IDB is historically the main multilateral development partner of Argentina and currently provides its services through various instruments in various fields, such as projects aimed at promoting growth and competitiveness, promoting social development and governance, as stated by the IDB on its website. The article deals with relations between Argentina and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) during the presidencies of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and Mauricio Macri (2007-2019), discussing and analysing the role played by the IDB in financing the various policies implemented by those governments in our national territory, and the objectives of such borrowing.
