Objective: To characterize management skills for the nurse in the field of hospital management. Methodology: It was documentary cut, under a qualitative approach. The corpus of the study was the readings related to management and hospital management. Hermeneutics became the main source of information generation. Conclusion: management skills for nurses are varied and important to improve administrative management and results with optimal quality in health care for people who require hospital institutions.
