Empirical analysis of household location in multicenter urban spaces. Case of urban area of Dijon

Abstract

national audience The aim of this Communication is to test the residential location behaviour of households in a multicentric urban space. With this in mind, the main results of two theoretical spatial equilibrium models are presented in the first part: a traditional equilibrium model and a blurred model. The tests carried out on the Dijonnaise agglomeration describe an urban area with three centres (second part) and four centres (part three). The influence of several economic centres on location decisions is then confirmed and the operational character of the unclear model is illustrated.
