Abstract
The article focuses on tuberculosis (tb) awareness among migrant workers from Central Asia. It concentrates on evaluating the possibilities to improve the prevention of this social disease among the group. The work presents the results of a survey conducted in Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan among 1,750 migrant workers from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan who are characterized in the survey as having had experience in Russia and Kazakhstan. This survey also examines the prevalence of tuberculosis, screening and perception of treatment among migrants, through training programs aimed at increasing awareness of migrants.
