Abstract
We address in this paper the issue of climate change negociations'indeterminacy and examine the role played by the BASIC (Brazil, South Africa, India and China) in such indeterminacy. Mobilizing the analytical tools of International Political Economy (IPE), we show that changes in power distribution over the last two decades explains the indeterminacy of negociations outcome much more than changes in political preferences, wich have remainted fairly stable.
