Despite all the measures put in place against gender-based violence, between 2004 and 2016 870 women and 16 boys and girls have been killed in the Spanish state. More and more professionals in the field of social work, psychology, law, social education, security forces are often confronted with these issues without sufficient preparation and resources. The interventions carried out by public institutions may be epidermal. A new approach is urgently needed to propose a radical change of the social, economic and political model.
