Abstract
This article aims to analyse and describe the Protestant experience in Yucatán during the early 20th century. I am focusing on the stage of insertion and establishment of protestantism in the city of Mérida. Subsequently, the participation and political perception of the presbiterians during the government of Salvador Alvarado, complementing this episode with the facts related to presbiterianism in the treasuries, by means of archives of the State of Yucatán, the Arzobispado Yucateco and the liberal and conservative local hemerography, and of the Official Presbiteriana, I propose to identify the differences and similarities between the presbiterianism of the centre and Yucatán. All of this, in order to contribute to a better understanding of the relationship between religion-political and protestantismo-revolution.
