the treatment of progressive kidney diseases has become a major public health problem. At present, several therapeutic measures are capable of slowing down, or even interrupting, the trend towards terminal renal failure. Based on two recent reviews, this article describes the population at risk, two simple screening measures and 10 recommendations for the follow-up of these patients. Multidisciplinary care appears to be optimal.
