This work presents the sources available in Spain to analyse the evolution of migration, focusing on the quantification of migrant numbers and migration flows. Both internal and international migration are considered, as many sources make it possible to study both. The specific statistical sources are distinguished from those based on administrative records, as well as those studying the whole universe and those based on surveys, stressing the need to differentiate strictly between cash and flows.
