International audience In this contribution, we will focus on the linguistic and discursive manifestations of different forms of urbanity and "neo urbanity" present in the Algerian literature from the point of view of historical sociolinguistics interlinked with discourse analysis. It is a question of recording the references to these socio-cultural memberships through a listing of the denominations, the adjectives, the attributes and the moral and physical characteristics of the self and of the other.
