Abstract
From a multidimensional, complex and contextualised perspective of inequalities, and a plurality of disciplinary and institutional references, this Collection analyses the main social inequalities and inequities existing in today’s Cuban society in different social groups — gender, skin colour, ethariums, socio-classification, disability, territory, Rurality- and areas (economic, housing/habitat, social and cultural participation), the intersections between them, the phenomena of poverty, vulnerability and marginalisation, as well as the effects of public policies on these phenomena. As a novel aspect, the intersectional approach analyses inequalities in specific groups and areas and also makes proposals for policies to promote equity and social justice.
