Abstract
In the context of the European REDDSO project (Regions for Sustainable Development and Solidarity), aimed at better anchoring education to sustainable development and international solidarity (EDD-SI) in local education and training policies for citizenship at global level, the Groupement d’Inintérêt public du Réseau Rhône-Alpes d’appui à la coopération (GIP RESACOOP), the Lyon Rectorate of Lyon and the Higher School of Professorat and Education (ESPE) in Lyon wished to cooperate in carrying out work to capitalise on the EDD-SI, based on their educational experience. The ultimate aim of this work is to enrich the provision of initial and ongoing training for teachers in the Rhône-Alpes region. On the basis of the experiences and practices analysed, this phase involves proposing and formatting a characterisation of the EDD-SI, identifying in particular its specific features in terms of content, methods and skills used.
