Abstract
The aim of this paper is present the archaeological remains interpreted as a late medieval dwelling house and its associated agricultural area located on the outs-kirts of the city of Granada, where the campus of the University of Granada is based today. It was part of the land known as «Pago de Aynadamar» in the Middle Ages, which was a peripheral space to the Nasrid city halfway between the urban and the rural domains. Along with other scattered archaeological evidence in the campus, we offer a glimpse into the materiality of this kind of Islamic villa, the so-called cár-menes, i.e. dwellings located on the outskirts of the cities in association with farm areas and various kinds of hydraulic infrastructure such as pits and water channels.
