La parentification, un processus intrapsychique, intersubjectif et transubjectif
Triple Keywords
Becoming (Philosophy)

The author analyzes the nature of the imprint of the process of parentification in adulthood and the elaboration of this process in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. She defines parentification as an intrapsychic, intersubjective and transubjective process, characterized by a generational reversal and incestual family dynamics, the child fantasies of becoming the parent of his own parent. Extreme solicitude and unrestricted devotion are characteristics of the link to the other, when this adult, a parentified child, perceives a traumatic child in the other, as he had perceived it from his parent.
