Abstract
as part of the Iran-Italy mission on the Persepolis sector, a pedestrian and geophysical survey highlighted the plan for a construction package of approximately one hectare, north of the Frataraka complex north of the terrace. The northern part would be organised around a large courtyard, rather than a hypostyl space. The southern part is more difficult to interpret. If the construction was indeed at an all-time date, what is likely according to several indicators is a new one...
