The senses about the education of young people targeted by PROG.R.ES.AR in La Plata

Abstract

This work is intended to investigate the senses of education of the young people targeted by PROG.RE.SAR. (Support programme for Argentinian students). A policy that, since its implementation in 2014, accompanies the educational trajectories of young Argentinian students. In order to achieve the proposed objective, in-depth interviews were conducted to reflect on the state’s link with young people on the basis of the story of their educational paths by placing them at a specific historical moment in which young people are an actor through their political participation in the public space. The hypothesis guiding this work indicates that the inclusion of young people in training through state-generated public policies enables political participation scenarios for the exercise of rights.
