Medial epicondilitis in Youth Island launchers

Abstract

Summary Trendinopathy is a major cause of musculoskeletal morbidity. It has a high incidence in sport of 30 to 50 % of injuries to professional and recreational athletes, which can compromise sports performance and cause disability. To a large extent, it is caused by an alteration in musculo-tendinous origins in humeral consuldiles. In most cases, it is in the labour force and therefore has a high impact on the reduction of productivity due to absences from work, which according to severity can be days or weeks. The overall objective of the investigation is to propose a complex of physical exercises that contribute to the recovery of such injury in clover launchers. Theoretical and empirical methods were used and the theoretical foundations for rehabilitating medial epicondilitis were identified. The information obtained after an interview was applied to the coaches was analysed in order to characterise the current state of the rehabilitation process for this injury. Based on the results obtained, a set of physical exercises was designed to rehabilitate the injury in the training area. Periods designed are classified as liabilities, assisted assets, free assets, resisting assets; the latter is divided into two groups. In order to facilitate the work of coaches, the way the exercises are carried out and the methodological indications, muscles involved, organisation and variants are described.
