Laparoscopic Detection of Isolated Tubal Torsion in the Adolescent Age Group

Abstract

ABSTRACTIsolated tubal torsion is in children and adolescents a very rare condition. It is an important cause of acute abdominal pain and it is often confused with acute appendicitis and over torsion in the diagnosis. USG may be helpful in preoperative diagnosis. The diagnosis is mainly made by laparoscopy. The aim of this case report was to discuss laparoscopic detorsiontherapy of overtours in the presence of isolated tubal torsion. Early diagnosis with laparoscopy increases the chances of revascularization of ischemi adnex a with torsion. Laparoscopic detorsion of the adnexal tortion may be the first choice for the protection of the tubular and fertility in children age group.
